At Beyond the Books Learning, we believe that every child is unique and deserves an education that respects their individuality. Our small class sizes and our approach prioritizes play-based learning and holistic development, ensuring that children grow into confident, creative, and capable individuals.

We follow a "whole child" holistic approach designed to support the development of a wide range of skills, including problem-solving, communication, creativity and critical thinking. Play-based experiences that are carefully planned and designed to align with children's interests and abilities, while also promoting their learning and growth. We believe that the play based learning approach builds strong foundational skills, higher-order thinking skills, and social-emotional competence while supporting self-regulation and behavior management. Fundamentals, Handwriting Without Tears and the Play-to-Learn Preschool Curriculums are integrated into daily activities. We are committed to providing a rich and stimulating learning environment that supports the child's development in all areas, including academics.

Yes! For an additional fee of $50. your child can attend a full day of "Club" at Beyond the Books Learning when Baltimore County Public Schools are closed.
Our 1/2 Day Premium Preschool Program follows the BCPS calendar.

Preschool classes are for children who are ages 3-5 (and "independent almost 3-year-olds") by September 1st.
Before and After School Club is for PreK to school-age children up to 6th grade.

Beyond the Books Learning offers the smallest class sizes in town, 6 students per class!

Beyond the Books Learning will provide snacks, but we do NOT have a kitchen, so all meals must be brought from home. There is a full size refrigerator and a water cooler located in the classroom.
